Odds and Ends 1/18

Good Morning Folks!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I personally am still shaking off the effects of watching my football team choke away a great season. However, I will not let my personal sorrow keep you all from the latest edition of odds and ends!

Fighting the good fight: A rumor recently surfaced that Marvel would soon be canceling their X-men spin off series S.W.O.R.D. Super fan Greg Hyatt is spearheading a movement to make sure that doesn’t happen, providing printable postcards for people to sign and send in in hopes of staving off elimination for S.W.O.R.D. You can get the full details (and postcards) here.

A Helping Hand: In the wake of the disaster in Haiti, everyone is doing what they can, and comic book professionals are no exception. Heroes 4 Haiti is a program to try and organize aide moneys for the people of Haiti, by doing things like auctioning off art work and getting people to bid on said auctions. You can get all the details here.

That’s cold!: Comics Alliance has assembled a fun little list of snow and ice sculptures of super heroes and various other pop culture icons. Check it out!

Shady Dealings: Ron Richards over on ifanboy.com had a great interview podcast with James Robinson of STARMAN FAME. Now, I am an unabashed STARMAN fan, so I am a little biased, but there are some great tidbits in the interview that you can check out here.

Well, that’s it for today folks, thanks for stopping in, and we will see you tomorrow!
