@Sigh....

I tried really hard to ignore your comment, especially because of how much it pains me to come to the defense of Mr. Wolffe (who, to be fair, doesn't need my defense; if he wants to bother with a response, he will).

I'm sure you feel you struck a blow for decency with your (admittedly poorly written) comment. Unfortunately, your comment is the worst type of trolling I find on the internet. I'm not sure how brave you think you are to tell someone to grow up, call their opinion stupid, label them a "wannabe", or even bother to leave a comment when you claim not to care about his opinion from the cheap anonymity internet comment forums provide.

You say you're "not answering any of ur (sic) message's you will send to me", but since you didn't leave a way to contact you, sending a message is impossible. You also say you're not going to come back to this blog. Neat.

It's hard to take the opinions of cowards seriously (you play a rogue, don't you). Mr. Wolffe definitely liked to post incendiary material while he was here; I'm pretty sure he liked riling people up more than he hated anything he ranted about. I'm sorry he pissed you off. But only barely. If you really wanted to be taken seriously you shouldn't have ended your whining with a statement that you'll never come back to respond to anything anyone might be bothered to talk to you about.

Hehehe, I kinda have to laugh about your write style. You are using heavy words and stuff to make ur point. Ur kind of frustrated I think. Probably you will blame my writing style also, well I don't have a blog and I don't really want one. I just found it sad how you call a game played by millions of people stupid. Saying bad words and heavy language, just to be a cool kid. I'm a WoW player and I agree on some of the things you wrote. It's sad you bring down a complete group containing millions of people down. I can also link you photographs of writers who write a story and make picture of a heavy war situation where people are killed and then blame them for not doing anything. It just makes no sense. I don't really care about ur opinion, and I think people should do whatever they wanna do in life. You paint the picture with the toilet guy and the dressed guy like all WoW players are lost inside a phantasy world, and the only thing they do I gaming. You write this: "However, if you ever want to lose more word battles, drop me a line at the Hump Day Rant. In the meantime: WoW still sucks and your arguments are scattered like bird sh*t in the wind." You really think people do care about your stupid blog and your bad language. A real writer uses nice words to make a point, and someone who likes to have a discussion and like to share his thoughts with people is not making a fool out of others. Your just annoying, you will probably blame my English skills, and paint me like a g33k in ur words who don't have a life. Damn man, it's so annoying, people on www who think we need their words who are spreading out like aids and come like wet shit... Damn dude, your a sad case you know. I really dislike how you try to discuss things on internet. Your just a wannabe, someone with social skills, probably smart even, but just too cocky to think about others and to bring it nice. I'm not answering any of ur message's you will sent to me, or I won't come back to this blog since I seriously have my doubts about ur 'normal' communication skills. Bringing people down even if they are on a picture is sad. You should try to ignore people if you don't like their lifestyle. You come further if you ignore things. I just had to tell you this. I don't like you talking to 12 million people man, and I don't like you linking pictures of people with your stupid opinion. There's enough crap going on in the world... Grow up kid.

Henrique, I'm not sure how to respond to your post.

Christmas is not really that big of a lie. It's more of a mash-up. You can be angry at the church for lying to the pagans and bogarting their holiday, but that also helped put an end to human sacrifice in Europe.

Because it's part pagan, part Christian, and part consumerism, frankly you can make Christmas mean whatever you want. For me, I reject the "Christ Mass" part of the holiday and instead reflect on the celebration that winter is officially ending, the days are growing longer and the cycle of rebirth begins. Plenty of reason to give and receive gifts to and from those you love.
If people wish to give gifts to celebrate the birth of Jesus, let them! Why not? If we don't know the exact day, December 25th is as good a day as any.

But I would tell them the same thing I'm telling you if they spout any "Jesus is the reason for the season" or "Put Christ back in Xmas" nonsense.

The best I hope for, no matter why you celebrate the day (or choose to abstain), is "Peace on Earth and good will towards men."

Hello Tin Machine,

As I mentioned in my original posts (quite a while ago), these blog posts are a very broad, general discussion into a weekly topic. For the past three weeks, I've glanced at various secret societies, briefly discussing some general points and beliefs that are out there. Your comment rouses three responses:

First, thank you for posting those links. The http://www.askafreemason.org is affiliated with the Grand Lodge of Masons in Massachusetts. While http://www.masonicinfo.com is a site that is copy-written by Edward L King who is the author of a book titled, "Freemasonry: Inside & Out." I appreciate that you appear to try and show that there are multiple opinions or ways of looking at the Freemasons, and I think these are valid opinions in the great debate about the secret nature of the Freemasons.

Second, this site does not really aim to provide answers about widely debated topics. I do not believe that a single person can possess all the answers to an organization as old, mysterious, and apocryphal as the Freemasons. Anybody that proposes to have a bunch of answers on this topic is generally trying to sell you a story: literally. In general, my philosophy is that a good teacher will give you answers; a great teacher will give one great questions to answer for one's self. The modern Freemasons were just one part of this post, which leads me to my third response.

You lead me to believe that you are either a Freemason or an aficionado of the organization. You mention linking to the California website, and I think that might have been what drew you out. That's great! I welcome your contribution to whatever you wish to debunk, but the information that you posted to this site doesn't seem to be in any way more conclusive than anything else I've seen out there. If you are a Freemason, are you allowed to disclose all actions performed or words uttered by the Freemasons to the public? Are there times when your actions and words are sworn to secrecy? The issue is that even if a person or a few individuals come forward and attest to having a particular experience, they are still just one voice in a few centuries worth of voices about a group that keeps secrets and produces world leaders. I freely admit to providing a general skim of a topic and trying to give a few places where people can go look up more information if they feel interested in delving into a particular topic with deeper interest.

Again, thanks for the useful links, and I hope you continue to help contributing to the information I can use for my posts.
