Before you make a sequel to Ghost Rider… Part 2
Welcome back to part two of my list of comics that should be made into movies. We start today with number six on the list:

6) X MACHINA: Take a good political drama film, like THE CONTENDER, then add in a bit of super-heroics, and you’ve got EX MACHINA. Ridley Scott (ALIEN, GLADIATOR) can do no wrong in my eyes, so he gets the nod to helm this bad boy. For my cast, I’d choose Guy Pierce as Mayor Michell Hundred, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Wylie , and Jeremy Irons as Ivan

7) OBERGEIST: This is a story about a Nazi who dies trying to create super-soldiers, and spends his afterlife trying to atone for the messed up stuff he did. Think an afterlife version of THE MACHINIST. Tarsem (THE CELL, THE FALL) is better than anyone at amazingly crazy visuals, so he is my director of choice. For the main charactrer of Jurgen Steinholz, I’d cast Ben Foster, that guy is always creepy cool.

MONKEYMAN & O’BRIEN: This story follows Ann O’Brien as she looks for her scientist father, and Axwell Tiberius, a 10 foot tall super smart space ape who Ann accidentally teleports to earth (her father was working on a teleportation device). Steven Spielberg can direct anything, anytime, anywhere, and this seems like it would be a fun challenge for him. For my cast, I select Jennifer Garner as Ann O’ Brien, and Kelsey Grammer to voice a digital Axwell.

9) BITE CLUB: Combine THE GODFATHER with an Anne Rice Novel, and BITE CLUB is the result. Nobody does gangs like Martin Scorsese, so I’d want nobody but Martin to direct. As for the cast, how about Ethan Hawke as vampire priest turned mob boss Leto, and Christina Ricci as jealous sister Risa?

10) WELCOME TO TRANQUILITY: This is what happens when superheroes all retire in the same town. S#!t goes awry. This story needs a director who can do action as well as humor, and Edgar Wright, (SHAUN OF THE DEAD, HOT FUZZ) has shown he can handle both capably. As actors, I would cast Meagan Good as Sheriff Lindo, Clint Eastwood as Mayor Fury, Michelle Pfeiffer as Pink Bunny , and Brandon T. Jackson as Emoticon.

Well that’s the second half of the list folks. I hope you enjoyed this as much as I did. Thanks for stopping in, and I’ll see you next time.
